SLAB — Drum Bus Plugin (macOS AU / VST3)

One block of sound for your whole drum kit.

Your drum bus is where a kit becomes one instrument or stays eight microphones. Most people get there with a chain: a saturator, a transient shaper, a compressor, an EQ, a sub tool, forty knobs between them and a sound that changes every time one of them moves.

SLAB is that chain as one object. Pick a preset, turn one knob per stage, blend it in. Transients, five drive circuits, a tuned boom, glue, tone, air, width, and a parallel mix that stays phase coherent. The complicated part lives inside.

Built by a working drummer and tuned on his own takes. The previews at 415porter.com/slab are one take, untouched and then through four presets, rendered through the plugin and nothing else. What you hear is what you get.

Five circuits
TAPE, CONSOLE, TUBE, PENTODE and LOC, a limiter that pumps harder the harder you hit it, into a clipper. A PUNISH switch adds 20 dB.

Ten presets
FLAT, MOTOWN, HI-DEF, GARAGE, TRAP, SEVENTIES, DUSTY, ARENA, LATE NIGHT, SMACK. Your DAW sees them as programs.

Formats
AU and VST3 for Ableton Live, Logic Pro and every other macOS host, plus a Standalone app. Apple Silicon and Intel in one installer. macOS 11 or later. No Windows build and no AAX at launch.

What you get
A signed and notarized installer (.pkg) that places the AU and VST3 in your plug-in folders. One purchase covers your own machines. Every 1.x update is free.

License
Use it on anything you release, commercially or not. Don't redistribute the installer.
